Ayn Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged as a warning in the hope that it would not come true. But, it has. Americans need to wake up if they want to keep what is left of their rights and freedoms. Once lost, none of us will live long enough to see them regained. For us to squander such irreplaceable values is truly tragic.

Capitalism is a free society. It should be obvious to anyone that we do NOT have Capitalism in America today. What we do have is a mixed economy. It is an unstable mixture of Capitalism and Statism which is inexorably descending into a Socialist-Collectivist tyranny. Yet, Capitalism is typically blamed for all of our social, economic, and political ills. This is tragic. We are accelerating into the abyss, and even some of the most intelligent and educated Americans are clueless. We need to understand the requirements of a free society, quickly, or we will lose what is left of our freedoms very soon. Time is of the essence.
