MALKIN: Holy Hypocrisy and Hot Air

This is another short, concise, and right-on-the-money article from Michele Malkin.  Most people, the Pope included, take the benefits of modern technology as the given without any thought about the human achievement that made it possible.  They also have no understanding of the requirements of these magnificent achievements.  The innovators and businessmen who bring these benefits to society are unappreciated.  You could call them the geese that lay the golden eggs, but too many today are actively trying to strangle and kill those geese.

As an example, “tax the rich” is one of the slogans of the Socialists and the politically correct.  They vehemently shout such slogans with no understanding of what would be the actual consequences if their mindless slogans were actually applied.  If the government makes it unprofitable for businessmen to make modern conveniences affordably available to society, they will simply stop.  Profit is their motivation, and there is nothing wrong with that!  Would anyone go to work if they knew they were not going to be paid?  Regarding the freeloaders, their voices do not deserve to be heard at all because they haven’t earned that privilege.  They haven’t contributed their “fair share” of taxes into the government pot.  So often today as I observe the idiocy going on around me, I say under my breath, “Be careful what you dummies wish for.  You might get it!”

Pope Francis should refrain from blowing any more hot air unless he’s willing to stew in his own.
